Why must you make so many incredible songs, Brandon ? I only have so much time and brainpower to write review in such a short time span and I don't want to do disservice to those great tracks with subpar reviews... Oh well, I guess I can't complain about a song being great. Because that one sure is exactly that. I was quite hyped when I saw that Emilia was apart of the matchup here because Re:Zero's OST is obviously really solid (and it also gets special treatment on this channel so that's even better) and Frozen Star was a great track too. However I was also very curious as to how this one would turn out being given that King Of Fighters is massively different from Fire Emblem and so is its OST (I mean, I barely know anything about either but it doesn't take a genius to realize that). And in the end I'd say that this track definitely ended up really good. Unlike Frozen Star which focuses a lot more on the regal and personal side of the characters, this one feels much more combat and emotionally-focused which is a very interesting take. It reminds me a lot of fighting game character tracks (IE: Killer Instinct's OST by Mick Gordon (which is one hell of a good thing given Mick Gordon's a legendary artist)) which fits perfectly given, well, one of the characters *is* a fighting game character so it helps making the song feel like an actual crossover track. I think what truly conveys this fighting game track feeling is that it focuses a lot on having a very intense but also emotionally-charged atmosphere to it. There's lots of changes in keys and a ton of breaks in the track that help it have this atmosphere and it's a really good thing IMO. Where Frozen Star felt like the characters going through an arc where they learn to accept themselves and who they are to know how to rule as leaders, this one feels more like the the characters fighting to the best of their abilities, their emotions showing in the song as they battle. It feels like a battle at the end of both of their arcs where they've already reached their apex and therefore are ready to show the world what they're made of. Or maybe I'm just looking too deep into it, who knows. Either way, point is that I really like how the song behaves. It's got less of a direct progression than its "predecessor", that's true. But again that's because of its nature as a video game score-like song which makes it perfectly respectable in how it is. And that doesn't stop it from being extremely interesting as a whole. I won't go over each segment individually because it'd be a lot of me repeating myself because almost every bit of this track is noteworthy (IE: the breaks with the "singing" that add to that fighting game song feel, the sheer variety of instruments in each segment that makes them stand out, etc...) but I must emphasize that the entire track is extremely notable and that's a really good thing in of itself, definitely makes the track worthy of being a "Faux"-God Mode song. Overall this track is one that's definitely standout as a whole. It takes a completely different approach to Frozen Star but one that's more than appreciable still. It fits the atmosphere of the character and their franchises/personalities while being extremely dynamic and varied, resulting in a generally wonderful song that anyone can appreciate I'm sure. Amazing job as always with this.

This track combines Alive and Princes of Pride both Goku and Vegeta's tracks. Just like in Dragon Ball itself Fusion combines two to become something that is the sum of their parts and more.
